The academic program at Ahmedabad Public School International places an emphasis on every aspect of student growth and development while meeting state requirements. Nursery to 5th-grade program
Our program is to help students develop the skills, knowledge, and attitudes they need to have. Our curriculum encourages students to ask questions and seek answers about the world around them.
Middle School program
This program places specific emphasis on the holistic development of students and their individual abilities and level of understanding. Their learning is further broadened with value and sound judgments challenging their emotional, physical, psychological, and social well-being.
Secondary and higher secondary program
The CBSE board is committed to providing quality education to promote intellectual, social and cultural viability among its learner. It works towards involving a learning process and environment which empowers the future citizens to become global leaders in the emerging knowledge society.

Rules for Examinations
Attendance is compulsory for all tests and examinations held during the year, failing which the student will be awarded zero. No consideration will be given to the absentees except on medical grounds. It is the responsibility of both students and their parents to ensure that they do not miss any Written Tests or Examinations. Subjects like Computer Science, Third language, PE, Art, Music, and Sports will also be graded. Students reporting late for examinations will not be given any extra time for answering the question papers. Students found using any unfair means during any of the examinations, will be awarded zero in that subject. A repeat of such cheating in the future will result in the prompt issue of a Transfer Certificate without notice. Exam dates are decided in advance. Exam / Assessment cannot be conducted on any other date/day for parents' personal convenience.

Rules for Assessment
CLASS I TO VIII
- The school will assess a child based on Scholastic and Co-Scholastic areas. Scholastic will include Internal / Periodic Assessment (20 marks) and Half Yearly & Yearly / Annual Examination (80 marks).
- Subjects: English, Hindi, Maths, EVS, Science, Social Science, Sanskrit / Gujarati / French & others.
- Term-1: 10 marks Periodic Test + 05 marks Notebook + 05 Subject Enrichment Activity + 80 marks for Half Yearly Exam.
- Term-2 : 10 marks Periodic Test + 05 marks Notebook + 05 Subject Enrichment Activity + 80 marks for Annual Exam.
- Schedule for the periodic test already provided in the planner.
- The syllabus for Periodic Test will be the chapters that are taught in the class one week before the test.
- The syllabus for Annual Examination in class I to V will be the Entire syllabus of Term-II + a few important topics of Term-I.
- Co-scholastic Areas are: Work Education, Art Education, Health & Physical Education along-with Discipline (G.K & V.E for grades I -V)
- The child needs to secure 33% in Half Yearly and Yearly / Annual Exam separately (i.e., 26.5 out of 80) to pass in a particular subject. To get passed and promoted to the next class, the child has to secure 33% in each subject.
- If a child secures E-grade (below 33%) in Annual Examination in a particular subject, then he/she can be given ONE opportunity to IMPROVE his/her performance in Annual Exam on the syllabus meant for Term-I & Term-II respectively. There is only ONE ATTEMPT to qualify for the Improvement Exam.
- The syllabus for Annual Examination in class VI will be 10% of Term-I covering significant topics+ Entire syllabus of Term-II.
- The syllabus for the Annual Examination in class VII will be 20% of Term-I covering significant topics+ Entire syllabus of Term-II.
- The syllabus for the Annual Examination in class VIII will be 30% of Term-I covering significant topics+ Entire syllabus of Term-II.
CLASS IX TO XI
- The school will assess a child on Scholastic and Co-Scholastic areas. Scholastic will include Internal / Periodic Assessment (20 marks) and External Assessment (80 marks).
- Periodic/ Internal Assessment comprises of Periodic Test (10 marks) + Note Book Submission (5 marks) + Subject Enrichment Activity (5marks).
- Out of Periodic Test & Half Yearly, the “Average of the Best two” will account for a weightage of 10 marks.
- The syllabus for Periodic Test will be the chapters that are taught in the class one week before the Exam. The syllabus for Half Yearly will be approximately 50% of the Curriculum.
- The Annual Examination will comprise of the full syllabus
- There is NO more Term 1 & Term 2 Syllabus, as it was earlier. It will be an External Examination of 80 marks.
- Upgrading of subjects based on Co-Scholastic grades stands CANCELLED.
- The child needs to secure 33% in Periodic Assessment (i.e.,6.6 out of 20) and 33% in Annual Exam (i.e., 26.4 out of 80) to pass in a particular subject. If a child fails to secure the same, he/she is eligible for Compartment Exam. To get passed and promoted to the next class, the child has to secure 33% in each subject.
- Compartment Exam will comprise of the entire syllabus of a particular subject and will be tentatively in the month of June. There is only ONE ATTEMPT for qualifying for the Compartment Exam. Students will be detained if they fail to pass the Compartment Exam. There won’t be any Second Compartment Exam under any circumstances and reasons (medical or otherwise).
- 75% Attendance is a must for a child to appear for the Board / Annual Examination held in March. The school sends a report of attendance to CBSE in the first week of February and in case the child is falling short of the mandatory 75%, then he/she will not be eligible to appear in the Annual Examination. Please ensure for the same.
- Class XI: 33 % minimum in all main subjects- Theory and Practicals individually. At least 75%. attendance
